Last Thought of the Night

I absorb a bit and overflow a lot… It’s how I’ve always been. A good New Year’s Resolution for me would be to not be so sensitive. I wish I could be as careless and as mean as some people think I am. I’ve been called “blunt” once, I guess that’s what I should turn into to those who deserve.

Retrospective 2011

I can’t quite remember every single important thing that happened to me this year. I do remember some great events, as well as some futile passages in my life.

  • Bad Guest… In January my we - my family and I - received a visit of a girl from South America (but not from my country). She’s the one person you would never want to have inside your house, sharing your bathroom with, sharing your life with. Believe it or not, to have that girl as a guest was one of the worst punishments someone could go through. She spent over a month at our place, and in such a short period of time she managed to cause a lot of trouble and headaches. I am so glad she’s gone and I honestly hope not to see her face for the rest of my life. I had to put this bad event right on the top of the list because she got to spend New Year with us, so that’s how bad 2011 started. Just the memory of that freaks me out.
  • Great Guest! Finally when the previous nightmare was over, also in January I received the visit of one of my best friends, Diego, who I consider as the brother I do not have. Diego also lives in North America, but the state he lives at is super warm, by the coast, differently from where I live, where it freaking snows every year… Diego is crazy for snow and came here to enjoy the cold weather with us for a few days. Although his visit was short, it was very cool. I wish we could live closer.
  • From the end of January to the beginning of February my mom went back home to visit my grandparents and the rest of our family. I missed her, but I was also thrilled that she could spend time with all of our beloved ones. When she came back to North America she brought many gifts, treats, letters, and four amazing books for me from everybody back home. My grandma sent me through her an amazing pair of high heels that I promise to wear only in very special occasions.
  • I got engaged. Two weeks later, my then “fiance” left me to Ukraine. I also took off. I went to….
  • …Disney World! I went to Disney, it was a dream coming true… I could die after kissing Mickey Mouse’s nose. Best ten days of my life ever.
  • I broke up with my “fiance”. Many people still don’t understand the reasons why I broke up with him. Believe me, I had a good reason. And after my decision was achieved I felt so relieved
  • I launched my Beauty Blog! And officially started my period of self-employment and independence working from home, paying for school and personal expenses, making money online, as I’ve always dreamed of.
  • In September I was very blessed to meet amazing people from all over the world that came to the city I live to study at the same college I go to. I now have wonderful friends from Egypt, Pakistan, Ghana, Cameroon, and one very special friend from my own country! The bad news is that they will only stay here for one school year. This summer they all head back to their countries. And that’s the reason why…
  • …We Party Every Weekend! And when I say party I do not mean we go wild. We don’t need to drink, or smoke, or do anything immoral to have fun. That’s what I enjoy the most. We’re all intelligent people that need nothing but the fact of being together to celebrate. That’s amazing. I can’t even imagine how sad I’m going to be when they’re gone. Which leads me to my next event of the year…
  • Marketing Class! I know it’s kinda crazy, but I don’t know how I’d be if I wouldn’t have taken the Marketing Class I took this semester. Yes, I got an A…for my life. I met someone that has changed my life, took me from the failing and brought me to a radiant A…as in Amor.
  • I made a fool of myself on Halloween hahaha… Our friends took us (all of the international students and I) to something called “haunted house” and it was one of the least successful ideas of all times lol… I never got so scared, never screamed so much, and guess what… Did not go further than the parking lot! hahaha… I’ll never forget that ugly monster chasing me with a chainsaw at the parking lot. I could never get inside that stupid haunted house, gosh… Why do people like going to those places? It’s so horrible! And pay for it! I don’t get it…
  • First Winter in North America WITHOUT SNOW! It is December 30th and we still can see the grass outside. No snow, people, NO SNOW! It was definitely the best Christmas I has in North America, and so it is going to be the best New Year’s Eve.

2011… A year to remember forever.

White Cloud

You’re the reason I live
You’re the reason I die
You’re the reason I give
When I break down and cry
Don’t need no reason why

You’re my angel
Come and save me tonight
You’re my angel
Come and make it alright
You’re my angel
Come and save me tonight
You’re my angel
Come and take me alright

Nostalgia

My thoughts tonight are walking around a house with flat roof, a street with no trees, a sky with no stars. Some might call it weird, I call it home.

Candy, Candy

This week was the turn of one of my professors to please us, South American students, with a special treat that came directly from our lovely country…

The delightful taste of home…

So great to walk around the campus and see a little bit of my land represented by one of my favorite hard candies… Thank you, master! You made my Christmas happier this year!
